Non Slip Floors – To Avoid Serious Accidents
Normally people meet with accidents and get seriously injured because they fall or slip on slippery floors. By applying an anti slip coating on home floors or in public places you can reduce the possibility of a slip or fall. There are over 8,000,000 non-fatal injuries and 19,000 fatal injuries in the US each year caused by unintentional falls. Almost 60% of falls are due to slipping on or tripping over something on the floor. The three most common causes of these falls are:
- Tripping over electrical cords, or over door jams and lips.
- Falling over objects left on sidewalks.
- Slipping on wet floors.
Today, you can find a wide range of anti slip products, like tapes, coatings, solutions, etc., in the market. These products claim to make the floor non slip and some of them really work. However, these products are low in the market due to the fact that some products tend to lose their effectiveness after a time span of few months. The products, on which you can really reply on, are the ones with nanotechnology.
There are a few companies that use nano technology with a new completely organic line of products to fight bacteria and molds thereby helping in controlling several diseases and infections. While chemicals in the past have been effective for a short term for preventing the spread of germs and bacteria, today’s chemicals, disinfectants and sterilants are the main cause in the trend of microorganisms and their mutation currently creating today’s Superbugs.
